The PhD defense will be held in English


Continued web-based teaching

The Department of Education will mainly provide distance education during the autumn semester 2020. There may be minor elements of voluntary campus teaching in individual courses. But this is stated in the course study guide and schedule.

Hidehisa Matsumoto

Master student Hidehisa Matsumoto this year’s Global Swede

The Global Swede Award is honouring international students who excel in areas closely related to innovation and entrepreneurship. This year, Hidehisa Matsumoto from Japan is Stockholm University’s student receiving the award. Hidehisa Matsumoto is currently studying the Master’s Programme in International and Comparative Education.

Yuto Kitamura is one of this year's nine honorary doctors

Stockholm University has chosen this year’s honorary doctors, all of whom have contributed in distinctive ways to the University’s activities in research and education. 

Yuto Kitamura has been central for the cooperation between the University of Tokyo and Stockholm University, KTH and Karolinska Institutet. He is also a key person in the direct cooperation between the Department of Education at Stockholm University and the Graduate School of Education, University of Tokyo.
